This might sound farfetched to you, but when I grow older and am prepared to buy my own home, I’m going to ask the real estate agent to tell me about the people who used to live there and to give a thorough investigative report on them as people. I also want to know whether anybody has died in that house and the nature in how they died.
Houses, apartments and spaces all exude a type of personality. Some make us feel easy, some a bit uneasy. The initial feeling that we gain from a space is what makes us either ask for an application form, or turn our heads to leave. Real estate agents are reluctant to give you the full story. If they do know the full story, they probably wouldn’t want to tell it to you anyway.
Whatever could harm their chances in a sale is something that they are going to avoid at all costs. But as a client of a commercial property management, don’t you want to know the space that you are taking over? That you’ll be inhabiting? It might seem like a radical idea, but I believe that real estate adverts should include information about the previous tenants. You can find more tips here about property management services. If we think about it now, this seems strange and completely unheard of, but I also believe that it could add badges of credibility and reassurance to the property on sale.
However, yes. It can also greatly damage the potential for a sale too. But as potential buyers, we do not want to give our money to something that isn’t going to provide 100% reassurance and satisfaction. Our money is not to be wasted on. Real estate agents want it, but we don’t want to part with it unless what we are paying for is worth it.
The people that live in a house and spend their lives there give it a sort of life that we can feel when we walk into their home. This isn’t newfangled new age beliefs, this is simply fact. We all feel a sense of something when we walk into persons home. Now, imagine moving into that home. Imagine buying that home and calling it your own.
First things first, ask the real estate agent all the questions that are haranguing you in your mind. Don’t be afraid to be pushy with them. This is their job, to give us information. If they seem to be hiding something, that’s when you know there’s trouble. Get as much information as you can, you won’t regret your efforts.
